Ahhh…Venice…..what can I say…

My lovely husband surprised me with a trip to Venice for our tenth anniversary. He planned the sitters, the flight, the place…everything! What a guy, he gets major Brownie points for that! Anyway, it was absolutely the most incredible vacation I’ve ever had. The flight on Air-France was perfect (champagne, wine, on-demand Simpson’s!) We took a water taxi through the Grand Canal when we first arrived, quite decadent. The apartment we stayed in was right on the Grand Canal (an old palace built in the 1600’s) Glass chandeliers in every room and hallway. I can’t wait to go back (I’d even take the kids!) there is so much history, it’s breathtaking. Here is the view from our apartment…… nice, eh?
One morning we took the Vaporetto (water bus) to Murano, what an amazing place. I bought some glass beads so we will have our very own ”Murano Collection-limited edition”! We also watched some glass blowers make incredible creations,vase, lamp, beads… I was in heaven…
